NORDSIM adds to its services the studies based on discrete elements. This way, we can offer the coupling of DEM with CFD and FEA.
The discrete element method allows for the determination of the effects of the interaction between particles, between boundaries and particles, particles and air, particle heating by fluids, comminution, etc.
The coupling of the different methods, CFD – DEM, FEA – DEM, its an adequate approach to correct, validate and optimize equipment. Therefrom, this allows us to extend our validation procedures to additional sectors such us: heavy machinery, mining, pharmaceutical sector, etc.
